Research Use Only

01What does Peptopedia sell?+

Chemical compounds for research use only. Our catalog is primarily peptides and related compounds, supplied as laboratory reagents for in-vitro and pharmacological research by qualified persons — nothing more and nothing else. What we publish about a compound is its identity, its purity, and its mass.

02What does "Research Use Only" mean?+

Every product we sell is a laboratory reagent for in-vitro research. Research Use Only describes what the molecule is, not a disclaimer added to something intended for another purpose. These compounds have not been evaluated or approved by the FDA and are not drugs, dietary supplements, cosmetics, or medical devices.

03Are these products safe for human or animal use?+

No. Nothing we sell is manufactured, tested, packaged, or labeled for use in a living subject. These molecules are not intended for human or animal use of any kind, nor for diagnostic, therapeutic, clinical, or veterinary use. If you are looking for something to use on yourself or on an animal, Peptopedia is not the right supplier.

04Are your products FDA approved?+

No. No product we sell has been evaluated or approved by the FDA, and no statement on this site has been reviewed by the FDA.

05Can you tell me how much to use, or how to use one of these compounds?+

No, and we hold this line with every customer. We do not provide or confirm dosing, schedules, administration guidance, protocols, or cycles for any product or species — not by email, DM, or comment.

We answer questions about the reagent itself: purity, identity, lot number, mass, storage, and shipping. Anything about preparing, measuring, or applying a compound is your experimental design, and we do not advise on it.

06Do I need a license or a prescription to order?+

No prescription is required and we do not ask for institutional credentials. You must be 21 or older, and by ordering you confirm you are qualified to handle laboratory reagents and are acquiring the product solely for in-vitro research.

07Is it legal to buy these?+

We sell laboratory research reagents within the United States. None of the compounds in our catalog is a controlled substance under the Controlled Substances Act.

Regulations differ by state, and confirming that receiving and handling a research reagent is lawful where you are is your responsibility.

Products

08What form are the peptides supplied in?+

Most peptides are supplied as lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder in sealed vials. Product-specific information is on the product page.

09What is in the vial besides the peptide?+

The lyophilized mass. Residual counter-ions from purification are normally present, as with any synthetic peptide. We add no fillers or excipients.

10Why does the powder look different from one vial to the next?+

Appearance varies for physical reasons unrelated to quality. An intact disc, a collapsed cake, loose powder, or a thin film on the glass are all normal, and a low-mass product will show very little visible solid.

Not normal: moisture inside the vial, discoloration, a compromised stopper, or cracked glass. Email us with your order number, the lot number, and a photo.

11How should peptides be stored?+

Storage requirements vary between compounds. Follow the storage recommendations for the specific product, and keep peptides protected from excessive heat, moisture, and light.

12What is bacteriostatic water?+

Water containing 0.9% benzyl alcohol as a preservative, which inhibits bacterial growth in a container accessed more than once. We stock it as a standard laboratory solvent.

13Do you include a syringe or any measuring device?+

No. We ship vials only. We do not sell, supply, or recommend administration equipment of any kind.

14Do you have a "clinical grade" or "pharmaceutical grade" option?+

No. Those terms have no standardized meaning, so we do not use them. Everything we sell is a research-grade molecule, and the Certificate of Analysis reports what was measured on the batch.

Quality and Testing

15Are your peptides tested for purity?+

Yes. Our peptides undergo quality and purity testing, with testing information available for the applicable batch.

16What purity level can I expect?+

Purity specifications vary by peptide and batch. The reported purity is provided on the applicable Certificate of Analysis.

17Can I get a Certificate of Analysis?+

Yes. Certificates of Analysis are available upon request for applicable products and batches. Email hello@peptopedia.us with your order number.

18How can I verify my product?+

Use the batch or lot information associated with your order and the corresponding Certificate of Analysis.

19Can I have the material tested myself?+

Yes, and you are welcome to. Independent verification is normal practice in research work. Reference the batch or lot information from your order so your results and ours describe the same material.

20Do your certificates cover sterility or endotoxins?+

No. Those are separate tests. Our products are non-sterile research reagents.

Ordering

21Is there a minimum order?+

Yes — $35.00 before shipping and tax.

22When will my order ship?+

Orders placed before 2:00 PM Eastern, Monday through Friday, ship the same business day. After the cutoff, on weekends, or on federal holidays, they ship the next business day.

23Can I change or cancel my order?+

Email us right away and we will try to catch it. Once a shipping label is created, all sales are final — the order cannot be changed, cancelled, or refunded.

24Is there a limit on quantity?+

Liquid products are limited to 8 units per order. Lyophilized products have no unit cap.

25Do you offer bulk or wholesale pricing?+

Yes. Volume pricing is applied automatically at checkout — add units to your cart and the discount appears in the total, so you always see the price before you pay. Volume pricing is for your own research use; resale or distribution requires prior written authorization from us, which we are glad to discuss.

For larger recurring volume, email hello@peptopedia.us with the compounds and quantities you need and we will quote it.

26Can I order without using the website?+

Yes. Email hello@peptopedia.us with the product and quantity, and we will confirm stock and send a total.

Shipping

27Where do you ship from, and where do you ship to?+

We ship from Orlando, Florida, to addresses within the United States only — including PO Boxes, APO/FPO, Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico.

28Do you ship internationally?+

Not at this time. If that changes, we will announce it on the site.

29What does shipping cost?+

Free shipping applies to standard service only. Overnight is unavailable to PO Boxes, APO/FPO, Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico.

30Do the products need to arrive cold?+

No. Lyophilized peptides are stable at ambient temperature in transit, which is one of the reasons peptides are freeze-dried and sold in this form. We do not ship with ice packs.

31Is the packaging discreet?+

Yes. Plain, unlabeled packaging with no product or compound names on the outside. The return address is a business name only.

32Tracking says delivered and I do not have it.+

Check the mailroom, neighbors, and alternate entrances, and give it 24 hours — carriers sometimes scan a parcel as delivered a day early. If it still has not appeared, the next step is a claim with the carrier, and we will provide the shipment details you need.

Once a package is accepted by the carrier, delivery is in the carrier's hands, so please confirm your address is correct at checkout.

Payment

33What payment methods do you accept?+

The payment methods available to you are shown at checkout. For orders placed directly by email, contact us and we will confirm the options and send a total.

34Do you charge sales tax?+

Sales tax is calculated at checkout based on your shipping address. Peptopedia LLC is a registered Florida business.

Returns and Problems

35What is your return policy?+

All sales are final once a shipping label is created. We do not accept returns or exchanges on shipped orders.

36My vial arrived damaged. What do I do?+

Email hello@peptopedia.us within 48 hours of delivery with your order number, the lot number, and photos of the vial and packaging as they arrived. We review these individually.

37Can I return a product because it did not perform as I expected in my research?+

No. Outcomes depend on your design, handling, solvent, storage, and methods, none of which we control or observe. What we speak to is the material itself, as reported on the Certificate of Analysis for the batch.
